Emberger Alm is considered one of Europe’s best flying areas for hang- and paragliding! It is and was the venue of many competitions including world championships. 

Our boss Wolfgang, a pilot and start leader for many years himself, has been involved in organizing many of them. He knows the area by heart and is always there to help and give advice on flight options and weather conditions. 

At Fichtenheim we will provide you with the daily flying weather along with your breakfast on the sundeck. Also, we will take you to the launch site, which is just two minutes drive away. There, you can set up your equipment without stress before the pilots from the valley arrive. Your family can accompany you all the way – or take off to adventures on their own. 

TIP: Wolfgang will pick up guests staying at our hotel from the landing site once a day for free. 

Use the large altitude difference between Emberger Alm and the valley (about 1200 meters) and the relatively stable weather conditions of the Drautal for long-distance flights. Also, the region’s high cloud base, low winds in the valley, the East-West orientation of the location and the great infrastructure including many landing spots in Greifenburg, Berg and on Emberger Alm enable unique flights.
